Back in HK & loving emails from home

Am back in Hong Kong. This time more for the HK Art Fair then work but work has a way of encroaching on what I had hoped would be more personal time here.
I received the following email from Sarah that tickled me. Her emails never fail to make me laugh. I miss the girls.

“Ode”? Not quite

Sarah is sporting an interesting ring today. She thought it was an ode to me as it translates as “Oh my Mom”… The kids were surprised and amused to learn that it was more an exclamation of exasperation!

Induction

Sarah’s being inducted into the National Honour Society. The group consists of Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. Good for her that she’s indicted as a Sophomore! Yay for my baby.

Waiting for Curtains Up

We’re waiting to catch Sarah in her dance performance. It’s Sophie’s turn next week. I always enjoy watching my girls dance.

A Big Week

Sarah has had a very big week. She got news of acceptance into the National Honour Society early in the week, and today she won the election for President of the Global Issues Network, a student club that she belongs to. Terrific achievements. We are so very proud. Funny how I still reflexively call her “baby”. She’s taller than I am.

“Bam”

Sarah sent us an email to inform us that she’s being inducted to the National Honor Society. I’m amused at her subject line. I’m proud too.

Woke up to this gem of a post on Sarah’s Facebook page. I guess Facebook can be a good thing?

I love watching Big Bang Theory, a sitcom that features 4 science geeks… maybe I should look closer to home.

Sarah in Beijing

Sarah is enjoying Beijing. She visited the Great Wall today. I’m so glad she’s discovering the city. She starts her Model UN conference tomorrow – GO Sweetie!
