Sophie decided that Pablo needed a birthday and declared today to be his 1st birthday. I’ve never had to put a party hat on a lizard before. They are so cute together. He seemed to love the attention!

It’s Joe’s birthday tomorrow and we’re celebrating with the kids today by watching The Lorax with them. The Lorax was a favourite book when they were growing up. Sarah especially loved it.

Uncle Pete’s 60th

Everyone had a blast. Glad the party went very well.
The party planning count for this year is 2 big birthdays: Uncle Pete’s 60th and Uncle William’s 70th, and 5 fundraisers: PTA Gala Dinner, SAS Star Appeal Dinner, Art Aid 2011, The Centre for Fathering’s 10th Anniversary Gala and the DUAL Ball. That’s more than 1 event every 2 months. Enough!

Quinn’s birthday is tomorrow but she has her party today. The gaggle of party guests seemed to have had a terrific time. The grown-ups had a good time too! Pizza, mac & cheese and cake balls are hard to resist! Here’s to Quinn!

We celebrated Eric’s 40th birthday last evening at a lovely dinner party put together by Eve. The guests all contributed toward a new mountain bike for the sports fiend, and a great time was had by all.

Spent the afternoon celebrating my cousin’s 21st birthday. His birthday is tomorrow as is also my aunt’s 68th birthday and nephew’s 2nd birthday. It was a nice afternoon. What was funny was the cake eating competition – organized by Eve of course!
