Pin-Up

A poster arrived by courier a short while ago. Sarah was so excited. She kept exclaiming: “Isn’t it pretty?”
Oh boy – shouldn’t this scene be played out with a poster of a teenage heartthrob?
Gotta give her an A+ for her relentless focus and unwavering fidelity to her ambition.
(but she needs to score at least a C+ in teenage fun and mischief too! I can’t believe I’m saying this!)

Lizards Whisperer!?

January 5, 2012

Pablo started getting listless 2 days ago. He didn’t eat all of yesterday and seemed gloomy and sleepy. He also developed darker patches of skin. Sophie was beside herself. She called me at work crying because Pablo was still resisting food and sleeping all say today. After frantic googling, I figured he needed more heat. An additional lamp seemed to have solved his ailment. We installed it after work today and buy 10pm he seemed to w back to his old self. He even accepted 11 worms.
What moved me was Sophie’s devotion to her new friend. She stayed by his side almost the entire day and was exceedingly patient on coaxing him to eat. She showed genuine care and commitment and I am so very glad we got her Pablo. She deserves him and he’s a lucky fellow.
Boy – I really don’t need to play doctor to a lizard and a panicked little girl. It was a long day in the office and a long night at my desk. I’m so glad it all ends well today.
(what the heck have I gotten into??)
